New Campus Redevelopment

What are we proposing?

The existing town centre campus on Wellington Road South is gaining millions of pounds worth of investment and improvement to make the College’s teaching facilities better than ever before. The recent merger with Trafford College is helping to drive the project forward to provide a major investment in new buildings, better facilities and resources.

With the aim of a top flight Ofsted rating and a first-class learning environment, the works are set to revolutionise education at Stockport Campus over the years to come.

Woodley Campus

Based on the grounds of Woodley Sports Centre, Stockport College Woodley Campus is home to our Sport and Uniformed Services courses. Boasting fantastic new sporting facilities following a £9m investment on the 23 acre site, the campus offers state-of-the-art fitness, football and tennis facilities, as well as bespoke classrooms and computer rooms available only to Stockport College students.

In order to further develop and enhance the skills and qualifications of our students at Woodley, students enrolled on the Sport and Uniformed Services courses have unlimited access to life leisure facilities and a number of activities run on the campus.

The centre is home to the latest 3G Optima floodlit pitches which are available for hire. Weekly Life Football 5 a-side, 6-a-side and 7 a-side leagues take place at the centre. The sport industry is estimated to make up 2.3% of all employment in England, the equivalent of 440, 000 sport-related jobs.
